Present: I take part time classes as Kirkwood Community College to maintain study skills while applying next year to graduate schools.
ExperienceAssisting students with essays, study skills, literature studies, English classes, creative writing, and in how to succeed at academics is very fulfilling. I work with many non-traditional who are returning to school after years in the work force. Study skills are lost with out practice. To that end I do my best to coach and support my tutor students in how to succeed in school again. I finished college as a non-traditional student so I know the struggles of feeling like starting from scratch in terms of study skills.
HobbiesI have a love of literature. This especially applies to the creation of literature as I am also a writer. One of my favorite activities is to critique an original piece of writing. I see the critique process as an opportunity to piece together a puzzle of what could be and enjoy the best parts of a written work I have never experienced before. I write in many styles of writing including poetry, prose, essay, news writing and many styles in between. I firmly believe anyone can write, it just takes practice and perseverance. If you have any more questions feel free to ask.
